DESCRIPTION: Vortex 3 pan electric, countertop, boilerless steamer. This unit was purchased new by a restaurant that had it for a year, but never actually used it. From Groen’s website:
“The Groen Vortex100 connectionless steamer is an economical and efficient solution for bulk cook-and-hold applications for varying menu demands. The Vortex100 fits perfectly in small and medium-duty operations that often lack water or drain line connections. Vortex100 is versatile enough for bulk steaming applications in K-12 schools, colleges and universities, healthcare facilities, casual dining, stadiums and catering.
The Vortex100 with its boilerless design uses under 2.5 gallons of water per hour in heavy use. It is also Energy Star certified enabling users to not only save utility cost in water usage, but electricity as well. In addition, with its four (4) gallon fully-accessible reservoir, it saves time over the competition with less filling and easy cleanup with a simple vinegar water solution.
There are no hassles in installation. Just fill the reservoir with water, plug it in, and it’s ready to steam. The Vortex100 also has a condensate cap available for operators without space under the hood. This cap catches the steam that is produced continuously when in use, condenses it into water, and redirects it to a drain line protecting your ceilings from continuous steam venting.

This item is available from pick up at our showroom in Addison, IL. We’re open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. We’re closed on Sundays.
